I have played all three of the main courses on Viti Levu and Natadola Bay is genuinely one of the most memorable rounds you will play anywhere. Fifteen holes with direct Pacific Ocean views, a wind that puts real decisions in front of you, and a clubhouse that makes you want to stay for the afternoon.
The Denarau course suits golfers who want to base themselves in the resort precinct and play without a long transfer. The Pearl is the one experienced Fiji visitors tend to add to their return trip. I have never had a client come back from Fiji disappointed.

Play Golf in Fiji: Why Australians Choose the Islands
Fiji is the closest international golf destination to Australia with direct flights from every major east coast city. Brisbane golfers are on the ground in around 3.5 hours, Sydney in 4 hours, and Melbourne in under 5 hours. There is no long-haul travel and no jet lag to manage.
The flagship course, Natadola Bay, is internationally recognised and hosts the Fiji International professional tournament each year. Vijay Singh, Fiji's most celebrated sporting export, has personally consulted on the course design. Green fees across all three main courses run well below comparable championship venues in Australia.
Denarau Island provides the most convenient base for most visiting golfers. The golf club sits inside the Denarau resort precinct, within easy reach of the Sheraton, Westin, and Radisson properties. Water hazards on 15 of 18 holes mean course management counts from the first tee.
The Pearl at Pacific Harbour is the course most first-time visitors overlook and most experienced visitors add to their return trip. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in 1978, it runs through tropical rainforest with river crossings and lily ponds in a setting completely unlike the open coastal drama at Natadola.
Featured Fiji Golf Courses
- Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course: Home of the Fiji International, 15 holes with direct Pacific Ocean views, widely regarded as the finest course in the South Pacific.
- Denarau Golf and Racquet Club: A par-72 resort layout on Denarau Island with water hazards on 15 of 18 holes, ideal for golfers staying in the main resort precinct.
- The Pearl at Pacific Harbour: Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., a tropical rainforest course with river crossings and lily ponds — the course experienced Fiji visitors add to their return trip.
For Non-Golfing Partners
Fiji does not require negotiation with non-golfers. The resort infrastructure around Denarau and the Coral Coast means partners have direct beach access, world-class spa facilities, and a full range of water activities running throughout the day.
The island's food culture, snorkelling, and village excursions give partners a genuine holiday rather than just a waiting room. Fiji consistently ranks as one of the best mixed-group travel destinations in the Pacific for exactly this reason.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in a Fiji golf holiday?
A Golf Corner Fiji package covers accommodation, green fees, cart hire, and private transfers between your resort and the courses. We handle all tee time bookings in advance so you arrive on the first tee rather than at the booking desk.
Contact us and we will confirm exactly what is included based on your preferred courses, resort, and travel dates.
Is Fiji good for golf?
Fiji punches well above its size for golf. Viti Levu has three full 18-hole championship courses, including Natadola Bay which hosts the annual Fiji International professional tournament.
The combination of world-class facilities, short flights from Australia, Fijian hospitality, and resort infrastructure around the courses makes it one of the best-value golf destinations in the South Pacific.
What is the best golf course in Fiji?
Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course is widely regarded as the best course in the South Pacific. It features 15 of 18 holes with direct Pacific Ocean views and hosts the annual Fiji International, which attracts touring professionals every year.
Denarau Golf and Racquet Club and The Pearl at Pacific Harbour both offer exceptional 18-hole experiences with completely different characters. A well-planned Fiji golf holiday can include all three.
What resorts in Fiji have a golf course?
The InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa sits alongside Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course on the Coral Coast and is the premier stay-and-play option for serious golfers visiting Fiji. It offers preferential tee time access for resort guests.
The Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort, Westin Denarau Island, and Radisson Blu are all on Denarau Island within close reach of Denarau Golf and Racquet Club. We can match your resort to your preferred courses when building your itinerary.
How much does it cost to golf in Fiji?
Green fees in Fiji are significantly lower than comparable championship courses in Australia. Natadola Bay is the most expensive course in Fiji at around FJD $215 for 18 holes including cart. Denarau Golf and Racquet Club is more accessible at around FJD $100 to $125 for 18 holes.
For exact package pricing and current availability, contact us directly and we will put together a quote based on your preferred courses and travel dates.
When is the best time to play golf in Fiji?
May to September is the dry season and the most reliable window for golf in Fiji. Temperatures stay warm and comfortable, rainfall is low, and the courses are in their best condition throughout this period.
The wet season runs from November to April and brings higher humidity and afternoon storms, though morning golf is still very playable during this time. If you are travelling outside the dry season, we build rounds into the morning schedule to avoid the afternoon weather.
What skill level do I need for a Fiji golf holiday?
Fiji's main courses cater to all handicap levels. Denarau Golf and Racquet Club offers tee positions for every ability and is well suited to social golfers. Natadola Bay provides a genuine championship test that will challenge low handicappers, particularly when the coastal wind is up.
The Pearl falls between the two in terms of difficulty and is accessible to a wide range of players. We can recommend the right combination of courses based on your group's ability levels.
Can I customise my Fiji golf package?
Every Golf Corner package is built around your group. Tell us which courses you want to play, your preferred resort area, how many nights you need, and whether non-golfers are travelling with you.
We will put together a complete itinerary for your review. Contact Paul directly to start the conversation.
