Ready to Book Your Vietnam Golf Holiday?
Tell us which region appeals and when you want to travel. Paul will personally contact you within 24 hours to finalise your itinerary.
Vietnam is the destination I send Australian golfers to when they want exceptional courses without the European price tag. Da Nang in particular has Greg Norman, Luke Donald, and Colin Montgomerie designs within an hour of each other.
I have escorted groups across all three regions. Every course in our packages is one I have either played myself or had a Golf Corner team member assess on the ground.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to play golf in Vietnam?
Green fees at Vietnam's championship courses run from approximately AUD $90 to $200 per round when booked independently. Caddie fees and golf cart hire are typically extra and add around AUD $25 to $40 per round.
Golf Corner's packages bundle accommodation, transfers, caddies, and rounds into one upfront price. This delivers stronger overall value than booking each element separately.
Is Vietnam or Thailand better for golf?
Both are exceptional Asian golf destinations and we recommend Australian golfers visit each at least once. Thailand has more total courses (over 250) and longer-established golf infrastructure.
Vietnam has newer championship-pedigree courses (Greg Norman, Luke Donald, Colin Montgomerie designs) and tends to offer better value per round, particularly in Da Nang.
Where is the best place to play golf in Vietnam?
Da Nang on the central coast is widely regarded as Vietnam's premier golf destination. Within an hour you can play BRG Da Nang Golf Resort (Greg Norman), Ba Na Hills (Luke Donald), and Montgomerie Links (Colin Montgomerie).
Hanoi in the north and Ho Chi Minh City in the south offer strong supporting golf scenes. Many Australian groups combine two regions across a 10 to 14 day trip.
When is the best time to play golf in Vietnam?
The best time depends on which region you visit. Central Vietnam (Da Nang, Hoi An) is best February to August. Northern Vietnam (Hanoi) plays best October to April. Southern Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) is playable year-round, with December to April being the driest.
Avoid central Vietnam during October and November when typhoon risk peaks. Most Golf Corner clients travel between March and September.
How long is the flight from Australia to Vietnam?
Direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh City run approximately 8 to 9 hours. From Perth, expect around 9 hours direct to Ho Chi Minh City.
Da Nang is reached via direct services from Sydney and Melbourne, or via a short connecting flight from Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi. Vietjet, Vietnam Airlines, and Jetstar operate the main routes.
Do I need a visa to travel to Vietnam from Australia?
Australian passport holders require a visa to enter Vietnam. The Vietnamese government offers an electronic visa (e-visa) valid for stays up to 90 days, applied for online before travel.
Always check the latest entry requirements with the Vietnamese Embassy or via Smartraveller before booking. Requirements can change with little notice.
What is included in a Golf Corner Vietnam package?
Golf Corner's Vietnam packages include hotel accommodation, return airport transfers, green fees on the listed rounds, caddies, and golf cart hire. Some packages include daily breakfast and additional touring elements such as Halong Bay cruises or city tours.
Flights are land-only by default. Golf Corner is a fully licensed travel agency and can package direct flights from Perth, Sydney, or Melbourne into your itinerary on request.
Can I customise my Vietnam golf package?
Yes. All Golf Corner packages can be tailored to your group, dates, and preferred regions. If you want to combine Da Nang, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh into a single multi-region tour, Paul Deans will build you a bespoke itinerary.
Contact Golf Corner via the booking page to discuss your requirements. Paul personally responds to all enquiries.
